MEET JENNY
Get to Know Me
I was born in Springfield, Illinois and moved to Des Moines, Iowa when I was seven. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating, whether it be in the form of making art, music (I took piano lessons for a decade), or telling stories. I think that comes from my mom and grandmother, who instilled in me a love of putting my own creative spin on things in life. When I was little, I’d create clothing for my dolls without using a pattern. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was painting ceramics with my grandma. With time, my artistic expression turned toward cosmetics as well. I’m a licensed esthetician and absolutely love helping women feel even more beautiful.
Horseback riding lessons as a child set my soul on fire, so much so that I have recently gotten back into the sport as an adult. I love everything about horses and the connection we can make when riding is so rewarding. Since I love the outdoors, I took golf lessons for a bit, as well as tennis lessons. I may not be the best golf player, but I still enjoy playing from time to time.

Family Time
I have a younger brother and two step-brothers. Actually, I met my husband, Rob, because he was friends with my step-brothers. In 2005, when my mom was dating my now step-dad, we took a trip to his lake house in the Ozarks and Rob was there with their group of friends. We happened to hit it off and kept in touch as he finished college. In 2010, he proposed on the same WaveRunner we were on when we shared our first kiss and we were married in 2011.
We love traveling, camping and making time to spend with our favorite people. Each July we set aside a weekend to get away with Rob’s family, and while Rob hunts during the winter I try to sneak away for some sunshine and family time in Orlando. We try to sprinkle in a few getaways with friends throughout the year too.
Giving Back
Growing up, acts of service was large part of my life. I served on various projects through my church, and my mom was also very involved with several different non-profit groups throughout my childhood. Within these past few years, I have been incredibly blessed to combine my love of the equine world with that of volunteerism. Through a book I read in 2021, Project Solomon, I learned about the healing benefits of Equine Therapy. As soon as I finished the book, I immediately reached out to a therapeutic riding center and I have been there ever since. Never has something brough me more joy and awe than seeing the impact this kind of therapy has had on our riders.. and volunteers too.
My husband is heavily involved with a non-profit as well. Their mission is to bring our Veterans and their families together, getting them outdoors for various hunting and fishing events. We can never fully repay the sacrifices that these individuals have made, but it sure is humbling to hear their stories and how much this group has meant to all who have served.

Happily Jenny Beginnings
In 2013, I joined our family’s business as a bookkeeper. The business was started on my step-dad’s side, and working each day alongside him and my mom has been a blessing in more ways than I can count. As you can imagine, bookkeeping doesn’t leave room for much in the way of creativity and I found myself spending more of my free time making room to be artistic. I quickly realized that this is exactly what I want to do in life! Sharing DIY tips, style ideas, new recipes, my favorite skincare products, and more makes me wake up every morning with a smile on my face and I want you to feel the same when you follow along!
