Have you ever thought about what would happen if you actually decided to go after your dreams? My problem is that I have so many interests that I found it nearly impossible to narrow them down to chasing only one. Ask my Mother.

Friends and family, I would like to welcome you to my blog! As I followed along with other girls’ blogs this past year, it dawned on me that this is the perfect way to bundle so many different aspects of my creative life into one place. A few of you have encouraged this for the past couple of years. I have always found journaling therapeutic, so I really did like the idea of blending my words with beautiful images. After being swept under the rug time and time again, I finally decided to gather up the courage to go for it and see what happens.

Many of you know me as Jenn, so I am guessing there may be a question as to why I chose to use Jenny. I figure the first post is as good as any to give some background to the blog name. Truthfully, the “happily” part just happened because I wanted something catchy and to my surprise, @happilyjenny was available as a handle on Instagram. I want to create a space and a feed that is happy, positive, and uplifting. I hope to inspire and be a light in what I will call an interesting world. I decided to go by the name Jenny for this blog because it is the name I was called growing up. To be honest, I don’t even remember when I began getting called Jenn. My mom and dad, as well as my great-grandfather always called me Jenny Wren, like the little bird. I remember being at my great-grandparents’ home as a child and seeing the Jenny Wrens in their birdhouse on the porch. I see this new blogging journey as singing my song, just as a Jenny Wren sits on a branch and sings its melody.

I am excited, a little anxious, and optimistic about all of this! I have a lot to learn, and I am so glad that you are here to follow along!
